This is the cover of a brochure I made for the program I am apart of. The assignment was to come up with a front cover that demonstrates all of the different strands we provide and explain what each of them are. I decided to vector shapes to represent each strand and them take an actual picture of the strand because I thought that would really give the viewer an understanding of the five strands.

This is the first logo I made at the beginning of the year. This logo was more for looks and didn't really tell my story or anything about me. This was strictly for looks and the looks weren't that great. Because of this I made a new logo that better represents me. The logo below is my newest logo.
This is my mood board where I got all of my inspiration. As you can see I really wanted a circle logo that incorporated Africa and my initials.
After looking at my mood board I came up with these sketches to try out on the computer.
These are all of the different logos i made form my sketches. After trying many different colors and variations of each logo I decided on my final logo. All of my logos were similar and told the same story but I wanted my logo to be simple and clean, that's why I chose the one I did.

The google logo is a simple logo but there was a lot of thought behind it. The logo needed to show that the company was a search engine only. The company decided to make a simple logo with colors that represent child's play. They made the letters certain colors because they wanted them to look light but also have weight. The font was carefully considered because they wanted it to be sophisticated but also have some humor. The google logo has been great for the company and it hasn't changed since the day they launched it.

This last saturday i went to an e-Comm competition called eMagine. This is a regional competition for anyone who want to enter their graphic design, video, web, or broadcasting work. The whole festival is set up like the oscars so everyone dresses up and there are different announcers who present the winers in each category. There are many students from Olathe northwest who enter their work and a lot of them win. This event is very fun and a good way to get your work out in the world.
My poster is a movie poster for 101 dalmatians. This movie is about a woman who tries to steal 101 little Dalmatian dogs. I added a dog because that what she was trying to steal and then i have her pulling the dogs leash to show how she tries to steal the dog. Lastly I put Cruella de vil's famous coat. My poster is very different from Saul Bass' poster. His poster is very modern and simple and mine is a little more animated but also very simple. Saul bass used the colors red black and white just like I used. I think those colors represent the movie very well because the dogs are black and white and then Cruella de vil wears a lot of red and her hair is black and white.

In class the past few weeks we have been working in a suite called indesign. Our assignment was to make a poster for a friend showing the top ten things they couldn't live with. Megan Osborn created my poster. My friends and my dance team are some of the most important people to me. My friends cheer me up and can always make me laugh. They stand by my side and will help me through anything. They are always there to give me a loving hug. I wouldn't be where I am today without them. They have encouraged me through my walk with God and that is so important to me. Another thing I couldn't live without is my Savior Jesus Christ. Without him in my life I really wouldn't be the person I am today. He is the reason I wake up in the morning. He walks with me every second of the day and he has my back. He is my father and my best friend. He knows what is in store for the rest of my life and I trust him completely to lead me on the right path. I want to spend the rest of my life being the hands and feet of Jesus and sharing his love with everyone I come in contact with. Many things are important to me but my family, friends, and faith are the most important to me.

The Nerman museum is located at the Johnson County Community college. The exhibit that this sculpture belongs to is called Illuminate by Dylan Mortimer. All of Mortimer's sculptures light up when you stand in front of them. Dylan likes to incorporate his own beliefs and views in his art in order to share his views with the world. Mortimer grew up with a respiratory disease and he believes that his faith is the only thing that got him through, and he wants to share that through his art work. I think that Dylan's work is very neat, I love how he incorporates his faith in his art work. I also really like how his artwork lights up when you stand under it because it makes you feel like you are a part of the artwork and not just looking at it.
